The usual difference between a townhouse and a villa is that townhouses are not detached like a single house. They also usually do not have a private pool, (although our Windsor Palms Townhouse does have a small private heated pool). They normally have a communal pool and usually a clubhouse of some sort.
  Do not let this give you the impression they are somehow less accommodating than a private villa - both our townhouses offer very fine rental accommodation indeed.
  Our Windsor Palms town home is near the Walt Disney theme parks of South Orlando, only 7.8 miles from Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom entrance (see map). This townhouse has three bedrooms all with en-suite attached bathrooms and your own small private heatable pool. This is ideal for two couples with children, or a single family seeking an exciting resort vacation near Disney.
  Our Windwood Bay townhouse is larger than most, with four bedrooms, one of which has private outside access. It has a clubhouse and large pool about 100 yards from the door.

 Where does Disney start?

People ask “how far is the rental villa from Disney?” and we have also seen pretty optimistic estimates on some rental web sites. We therefore decided to actually measure the distances with a car mileometer.
We know where our villas are, but where does Disney start? This is not a silly question, because it is 3.6 miles from the start of Disney property to the Magic Kingdom pay booths, and even further to MGM, Epcot or the other Disney parks. So we decided to measure to the Disney Arch, which you pass under when you enter the property and is common to all.
It is all a bit spurious anyway, because how quick you get to and from depends more on traffic and which way you go than the actual distance - but we still get asked. See map.
